ITUNES SCAM FRAUD

Amazing, one of the seminal bands of my late adolescence was Guster. This is sort of an something to be ashamed of I guess.  There was this girl who gave me Lost and Gone Forever and Let's Keep It Together on mp3 cd the first week of college. I listened to this stuff while I studied throughout the first couple years of college very regularly. This is back to the days before I had an ipod. I listened to two different mp3 CDs each without about 150 songs on them. Morpheus Kazaa....sort of only expanded my music collection ... that much. Anyways...this band went to Tufts, where the girl I dated at the time I found Guster was going to school. This made for a bittersweet breakup soundtrack. Extra sentimental....until I found out every other song written is a breakup song. The other 40% are about falling in love and 10% are about food, dogs, and getting high.  Anyways, on the album Keep It Together, track 13 is called Silence, its literally 30 seconds of silence....and they charge $1.29 for this...like not even free, or 99 cents, but really, 1.29 for a long pause WTF, what idiot bought that shit  la carte.

Seize and Squeeze Every Last Drop Out of Your Youth

You'll never be younger than you are today. If only time travel was real. Who invented that by the way. What a mind fuck.  Don't put off till tomorrow what can be done today, you'll accomplish a lot more. If you think it would be great to go somewhere, just do it, make the money, save the money, spend the money. Go. Go for it. One day you'll be diving into the light for the last time. I found a white hair in my unibrow this weekend, overall my hair is still brown but these hairs are a real reminder that I'm not a puppy anymore. Man I've changed a lot. And you know who else has....Sinead O' Connor and Kelly McGillis.  Like jesus christ, wtf....scary...i remember when they were both hot...and they were.  If you ever saw Sinead in a wig twenty years ago....she was gorgeous...but now, not so much.
Just remember, old people were young when you were young.....soon you'll be old.

The Abbey Road Blogs - Here Comes the Sun

An Abbey Road blog theme is fodder for at least a dozen pieces of junk. But this is just some silly ramblings, if you're reading this, shame on you. So Here Comes the Sun, George Harrison, really come into his own this album with Something and the blog titled masterpiece. By the way, New Zealand has the highest UV index in the world.....but nobody has a tan. New Zealand deserves a few posts, I gave this up not knowing what to write about and now I have more ideas....

Listen to Let Her Go - Passenger

Connecticut School Shooting Tragedy

Lot's of horrible things happening these days. Would be nice to have a solution for all of them. Of course many pundits and amateur bloggers broadcast their common sense solutions. How to cure the human condition. How to protect ourselves from each other. The concept of civil liberties are diametrically opposed to the obvious solution of using psychics to capture killers before they strike a lá "Minority Report." Gun control seems to be the clearest answer for many. Politically, an untenable position in these times where liberals have spent all of their capital ruining the economy and legalizing marijuana. Gun control however is a simple answer to a complex question no one is asking. How do we stop people from being compelled to go on rampages. Instead people are asking how to keep the guns away from crazy people or how to keep the crazy people away from children. It is already illegal for a mentally disturbed person to own a gun. Just like for a convicted felon. So would a broader prohibition on guns make it any more illegal. No but that could be the smoke screen needed to convince the foolish masses to acquiesce their constitutional right to rise against their corporate and political masters. America is a plantation. A resource driven economy that strived for efficiency rather than flammable paper wealth would probably not have to many school shootings. How can we deter the psychos if they are willing to die for their cause. When the government answers that problem thn maybe they can create lastin peace in the Middle East.
